Katy Perry’s “Birthday” Gets A Celebratory Cash Cash Remix: Listen To The Exuberant Overhaul
Here’s a match made in pop heaven. Katy Perry‘s bubbly “Birthday” has been remixed by New Jersey dance outfit Cash Cash, who recently scored a breakthrough hit with Bebe Rexha-voiced club anthem “Take Me Home”. And the guys are smart enough to leave the euphoric Prism highlight largely alone.
They simply pad out the Dr. Luke and Max Martin-produced banger with chunky synths, tinker with the BPM and accentuate the track’s already irresistible ’80s dance influences. I particularly love the little instrumental breakdowns and Katy’s howls of “celebrate now!” Play this at your next party and just wait for the big balloons to come out. Listen after the jump.
