Robyn And Röyksopp’s ‘Do It Again’ EP Is Every Bit As Good As You Imagined

News that Robyn had recorded an EP with Norwegian dance outfit Röyksopp had electro-pop connoisseurs salivating. As such, it’s a relief to report that Do It Again is every bit as magnificent as you would expect from the Scandinavian team that brought you 2009 gem “The Girl And The Robot” — at least, if the just-surfaced title track and icy synth-ballad “Every Little Thing” are any indication.

After months of sloppy electronic pop from acts that really should know better, Röyksopp‘s beautifully crisp synths combined with Robyn’s emotional vocal make for a heady mix indeed. The catchy title track is an upbeat floorfiller that with a surprisingly commercial chorus, while “Every Little Thing” sounds like an intricately-crafted sequel to the Swedish diva’s killer Kleerup collab “With Every Heartbeat”.
