Robyn & Röyksopp Debut “Do It Again” On BBC Radio 1’s ‘Annie Mac’: Listen
“I think that’s really good, that it has a vulnerability to it,” Robyn once said. While she was referring to a student-made robot modeled after her, as she found its still-jerky dance moves to be endearing, fans have likely said the same of her diva-as-robot persona. “Do It Again,” the title track of Robyn and Röyksopp‘s forthcoming mini-album, is no different.
“Wait for it, wait for the build / and then let’s do it again,” Robyn sings to Röyksopp’s throbbing electro-pop, as debuted April 25 on BBC Radio 1. Singing of anticipation is standard for dance fare of all types. In fact, Robyn and Röyksopp wrote “Do It Again” after a night out in Bergen, Norway, resulting in what they call “an accidental pop song.” But as host Annie Mac points out, Robyn sings as if there’s a great deal at stake – or, in Mac’s words: “She feels it, man.”
“Do It Again” is one of five songs that appears in the collaborative album, out May 26. Hear it below.
