Cher Lloyd Drops New Song “Bind Your Love”: Listen

Cher Lloyd drops her sophomore LP, Sorry I’m Late, on May 27. Clearly, though, she wishes that she could release it sooner.

On April 25, days before she premieres her latest video, Lloyd debuted the soaring pop anthem “Bind Your Love.” With the winsome charm of a Sia-penned track (Rihanna‘s “Diamonds” comes to mind at the bridge) and as if with husband Craig Monk in mind, Lloyd sings her vows-turned-lyrics like she’s professing her love right at the altar. Hear the new song after the jump.

Lloyd sounds exhilarated, as Brats likely are to finally hear more new music. She first teased her album with a debut single released last September, the Cinderella-story-at-a-club song  “I Wish” (featuring T.I. ). Then, after it was originally scheduled for a November 2013 release, Lloyd’s album was titled Sorry I’m Late not only because of the music’s themes of self-discovery, but also due to her own impatience.
