‘Glee’s Amber Riley & Naya Rivera Cover Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)”: Idolator Premiere
Last year Idolator celebrated the 15-year anniversary of Lauryn Hill‘s seminal LP, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill. Now we’re premiering a Glee cast cover of said album’s lead single, 1998’s chart-topping “Doo Wop (That Thing)”.
Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Santana (Naya Rivera) take on Hill’s R&B-pop classic in tomorrow night’s (April 29) episode, “Back-Up Plan.” In the episode, which boasts a guest appearance by Shirley MacLaine, rising star Mercedes tries to help Santana secure a recording contract of her own, while Rachel (Lea Michele) puts her Broadway role in Funny Girl in jeopardy when she auditions for a part in a TV pilot.
