Ed Sheeran & Game Are Working On A Joint *Double* Album

Last year, we were a bit puzzled when Ed Sheeran posted up in the studio with (The) Game and Rudimental, but now we know what they were cooking up. Game says he and Sheeran are putting together a collaborative album. Yup. “I’m working on a joint album with Ed Sheeran that we trying to drop probably end of the year, beginning of 2015,” Game told MTV News. “It’ll be two CDs. It’ll be the way I would do an album, with his help, and the way he would do an album with my features.”

So how did this odd couple of the Compton rapper and the British crooner initially link up? “It happened with a tweet,” Game explained. “He tweeted something about Jesus Piece, I responded, we exchanged numbers on the DM, and then we got in the studio… Ed came up with the idea to start working on a joint album, and we started doing it.”

This announcement would’ve seemed a tad absurd a few months ago, but now that we’ve heard Sheeran’s new side on “Sing,” plus his rapping on “Take It Back” and that feature on the Lupe Fiasco track, and all of a sudden this seems like it might not be a train wreck after all.

As for Rudimental’s role in all this, well, that’s still up in the air. Here’s what the British dudes told us about the joint studio session:
