MKTO Performed An Impromptu Acoustic Version Of “Classic” And It Was Awesome: Watch

MKTO dropped by the Idolator studio recently to chat about their exploding hit “Classic” (it rose to number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week) and future plans. After the entertaining interview, the guys performed an impromptu acoustic version of their feel-good anthem and proved they more than have what it takes to cut it as a live act.

Accompanied by a lone guitarist, Tony Oller showcases his impressive vocal chops while Malcom Kelley ups the cool ante with his slick rhymes. It speaks volumes for the quality of the retro-influenced song that the stripped back interpretation sounds just as good as (if not better than) the studio version. That’s rare in 2014. Watch “Classic” come to life up top.
