Following “Catch” and “Prime,” Allie X has dropped another synth-pop curiosity on us all in the form of “BITCH” (yes, with all caps — apparently she means it). Last month we singled the Canadian songbird out as one of 2014’s hottest imports, and “BITCH” underscores exactly why: the song, which comes with yet another half-charming, half-creepy video of Allie spinning, is brimming with bubbly bleeps and sonic squelches, not to mention Ms. X’s dream-like vocals. If you were to draw a comparison here, you might say “BITCH” is what would happen if Lana Del Rey set her time machine to “1982” and hooked up in the studio with Yaz.
