Beyonce’s “Haunted” Gets A Sprawling, Menacing RedTop Remix: Listen

Does anybody know what’s going on with Beyonce‘s visual album? “Partition” is still killing it at urban radio but the game-changing diva has already moved on to “Pretty Hurts” — at least as far as promotion is concerned. Meanwhile, there are whispers that “Blow” is the next single in Europe. It’s all a bit confusing but, no doubt, part of the queen’s master plan to revolutionize popular music.

While we wait for Mrs. Carter to shed some light on her next move, put aside 12 minutes of your day to revel in the glorious extended mix of LP highlight “Haunted” courtesy of RedTop. He has remixed several Beyonce singles in the past (including “I Was Here” and “Party”) but this is his best yet. The Swede knows better than to fuck with the tempo of Bey’s menacing slow jam. Rather, he expertly pads it out with scary synths and dub-step elements. There’s also some canny rearranging and eerie distortion. Listen after the jump.

Is this the best remix from Beyonce thus far? Have your say in the comments below.
