Jamie Lynn Spears Previews Four New Tracks From Debut EP ‘The Journey’
Jamie Lynn Spears previewed her debut EP The Journey on Instagram today (May 13), posting snippets of four new songs — “Shotgun Wedding”, “Mandolin Summer Sun”, “Big Bad World” and “Run”. The enjoyable anthems follow the less-is-more country-pop blue print of breakthrough hit “How Could I Want More”, which is a very good thing.
It’s hard to single out a particular song given the brevity of the snippets but “Shotgun Wedding” takes a slightly grittier approach that sits surprisingly well with Jamie Lynn’s vocal. If you’re looking for something a little more sweet and romantic, it’s hard to go past the gorgeous “Mandolin Summer Sun”. Listen to all four previews of The Journey after the jump.
