Pitbull & Jennifer Lopez’s “We Are One (Ole Ola)” Gets A Festive Video: Watch

Pitbull leans back, outstretches his arms and yells throughout his new video for “We Are One (Ole Ola).” As director Ben Mor seems to reinforce with past tournament footage, the Miami rapper is imagining how it feels to score for your team, if not your nation.

The clip plays out as fans likely expected for “We Are One,” FIFA’s official World Cup song. Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Brazillian pop singer Claudia Leitte take turns dancing among a crowd of patrons, samba dancers and bongo players underneath a canopy of flags resembling a gym class parachute. Crowds wave their arms from side to side at these stars’ commands.

Coincidentally, the “We Are One” video arrives at a strange time for the World Cup’s host city, Sao Paolo in Brazil. On May 15, civilians flooded the streets in protest of the tournament’s high costs, which will largely be funded by the public. While these protests were smaller than those from last year, their goal is still the same: Spend money on housing, not stadiums.
