Taylor Swift Talks New Album Plans: “It’s Already My Favorite Thing”
Taylor Swift dominated the world with her fourth album, 2012’s Red. Off the strength of that record, she embarked her third worldwide tour that launched last spring and ends a year later, with her June 12 concert in Singapore.
In anticipation of that date, Swift revealed to Shanghai press what’s to come next – a new album. “I’ve already been working very hard at it, and it’s already my favorite thing I’ve ever created,” she said. “So the idea [is] that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything and get everything completely done and wrapped up for a new project, it’s very exciting.”
Swift also says that the intentions behind her music haven’t changed – that is, expect her to be just as confessional as she’s always been. “I think I really just love the unity it brings me and the audience, because chances are they’ve felt the exact same way I felt when I wrote the song and I think it kind of reminds everyone — and it reminds me — that the human experience isn’t so lonely,” she says.Watch Taylor Swift talk about her new album up top.
