Austin Mahone To Sing National Anthem At NBA Finals
Brace yourself, Mahomies: Austin Mahone will perform the U.S. National Anthem to kick off the NBA Finals on June 5, 9 p.m. EST. Game 1 sees the Miami Heat facing off against the San Antonio Spurs – Mahone’s hometown team.
Mahone’s performance follows the May 27 release of his debut EP, The Secret. After he offered fans song after song, from the Pitbull-featured “Mmm Yeah” to ’90s R&B throwback “All I Ever Need,” The Secret debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, with 46,000 copies sold. So as he announced his NBA Finals performance, Mahone has also been keeping close tabs on who’s got The Secret – some being real fans, others not so much. See a few examples after the jumps.
