Carrie Underwood won the fan-voted Video of the Year at the 2014 CMT Awards, for the third year in a row. “It’s really hard to believe that I have been doing this for nine years, but every single second of those nine years, you guys have been so amazing,” she said, while accepting the award for “See You Again.” Underwood seemed in shock, though to those watching, her win seemed like a no-brainer compared to the night’s crossover moments.

This year’s awards show kicked off with heads nodding to ZZ Top performing its 1973 hit (and signature song) “LaGrange,” only for Florida Georgia Line to crash in for “This Is How We Roll” and Luke Bryan to introduce Jason Derulo, so that everyone on stage could chime in and wiggle their hips to his smash “Talk Dirty.” (Trust – the sight is one of the more strangely delightful things you’ll see today.) Later, Jennifer Nettles and John Legend teamed up to perform his No. 1 hit “All of Me,” while backed on acoustic guitar by Hunter Hayes. And to close, Miranda Lambert and Underwood performed their fierce country-pop duet “Somethin’ Bad,” off Lambert’s new album Platinum.

Watch Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood do “Somethin’ Bad” up top. Then, see the “LaGrange”-“This Is How We Roll”-“Talk Dirty” medley (whew) and “All of Me” after the jump.
