It’s not all fun, games and horsey dancing being a K-pop artist-turned-Internet sensation. Since PSY’s “Gangnam Style” video reached 2 billion views on YouTube last month, he has been too busy promoting his new single, “Hangover,” to really celebrate. “I’m still looking for the chance to have a party,” the Korean rapper tells Idolator.

We sat down for a chat with PSY at YouTube Space LA about “Gangnam Style’s” ongoing success and his hiatus from K-pop, given this new collaboration with Snoop Dogg. “I cannot beat ‘Gangnam Style’ anyway,” PSY explained of his current transition to rap. “I cannot beat that song forever.”

The “Hangover” video, which features PSY and Snoop gallivanting around South Korea getting non-Gangnam style wasted, has reached over 8.5 million hits since it premiered on Sunday (June 8) night. To fully recap the boozing, puking, karaoke-filled, plaid suit-styed video is to take away the full experience from first-timers, so make some time in your Monday to fit in a view. (Warning: if you have an actual hangover, this video may escalate your situation.)

Catch Idolator’s full interview with PSY above, during which he also reveals that there will be several collaborations with other artists on his forthcoming EP.

The buzz track “Hangover” is available now on iTunes. PSY’s forthcoming single “Daddy,” will be released by School Boy/Republic Records later this summer.
