Kelly Clarkson Welcomes Baby Girl River Rose
Kelly Clarkson has given birth to her first child. On June 14, she announced that her daughter with husband Brandon Blackstock, River Rose Blackstock, was born two days prior. “Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes!” she said on Twitter. “Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :)”
Clarkson married Blackstock, son of her manager Narvel Blackstock and stepson of country star Reba McEntire, in October 2013. Just as news of their wedding started surfacing, she announced that she was pregnant. Then in January, she told fans that she was expecting a baby girl, just as she suspected: “Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!”
River Rose is also the couple’s first child together; Blackstock has two kids from a previous marriage, ages 11 and 7. “I want two kids. Two more, that is,” Clarkson has said on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show back in October. “I’ve already got two!”
