Jennifer Lopez Plays Cupid, Reunites Former Teenage Sweethearts After 22 Years Apart

Jennifer Lopez added another string to her already full bow this morning (June 19) on GMA. The singer/actress/dancer can now put matchmaker on her resume after successfully reuniting a pair of teenage sweethearts. Steve McCoyne and Nancy Hamre started dating in 1989 when they were just 19 and 17, respectively. Things didn’t work out and they fell out of touch until finding each other on Facebook more than a decade later. (See, cyber-stalking your ex can totally pay off!)

The adorable couple has been communicating for some time now but GMA contacted J Lo to help make the reunion happen. After all, she has a new song called “First Love” and knows a thing or two about the rigors of keeping a long-distance romance alive.
