Becky G has been on the verge of something very big since signing with Dr. Luke as a 14-year-old. The bubbly femcee has built a loyal following with cute covers and Latin-flavored hip-hop/pop jams like Pitbull-assisted radio hit “Can’t Get Enough” but she finally has a stone cold smash on her hands with infectious pop anthem “Shower”.
The now 17-year-old diva recently dropped by the Idolator studio to talk about the inspiration for “Shower” (a boy has her feeling some type of way) and her relationship with producer/mentor Dr. Luke. Becky also spoke about her eagerly-awaited debut LP and the influence of female rappers like Iggy Azalea. Oh, and she’s also pretty excited about joining Katy Perry‘s Prismatic tour! Watch up top.
