David Guetta And Avicii Team Up For “Lovers On The Sun (Feat. Sam Martin)”: Listen

The dance dynamo’s done it again: After premiering “Shot Me Down” with Skylar Grey, “Blast Off” with Kaz James and “Bad” with Showtek and Vassy, DJ/producer David Guetta‘s just dropped his brand new summer single “Lovers On The Sun,” co-produced by Avicii.

The powerhouse collaboration features singer-songwriter Sam Martin on vocals, the man responsible for co-penning Maroon 5‘s “Daylight” and Guy Sebastian‘s “Like A Drum.” Strumming into the speakers across a country-tinged guitar twang and a lone Western whistle, the track fits in snugly with the ongoing trend of country/folk-infused EDM permeating the club scene, a la Avicii’s own “Wake Me Up.” Mike Einziger, the guitarist on “Wake Me Up,” also reportedly plays guitar on this track.

“We’re burning up — we might as well be lovers of the sun!” Martin howls across the chorus — sort of channeling The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers — before giving way to an (inevitable) explosive beat drop. It’s a surefire floor filler for sure, but will it be the next club track to dominate on pop radio as well? Listen to “Lovers On The Sun” below the jump.
