Charli XCX Performs “Boom Clap” Live On ‘Today Show’: Watch

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching alt-pop darling Charli XCX slowly-but-surely climb her way into the public’s consciousness over the past year or two, from co-penning Icona Pop‘s “I Love It” to her now ubiquitous “Fancy” with Iggy Azalea. But now, finally — FINALLY! — Charli is having her time to shine all on her own.

Earlier this morning, the True Romance songstress took to the stage of the Today Show to perform her Fault In Our Stars soundtrack hit, “Boom Clap” and, to no one’s surprise, she completely nailed it.

Backed by an all-female group of band players (GIRL POWER!) and giant “B-O-O-M C-L-A-P” silver and red heart balloons, Charli delivered her punchy summer anthem in a silk pink cami dress, essentially creating what looks like the coolest sleepover ever on early morning TV. Can we get an invite next time?
