Since the drop of her mesmerizing EP-titled track “Don’t Wait”,  Swedish-American singer Mapei has not only received attention from the likes of producers such as Kingdom  and Benny Blanco, but she’s also been remixed by Chicago MC Chance The Rapper, acquiring the apt title of everyone’s “Pop-R&B Darling On The Rise.”

Following up with the release her latest anthemic number “Change” in early June, Mapei just released a new lyric video for the track, in which she channels her inner Bob Dylan a la “Subterranean Homesick Blues.” Directed by Philippe Grenade and Jarret Egan, the video is a sort of ode to the singer’s current residence: New York City. While seemingly a simple collage of clips portraying New Yorkers holding up the lyrics to her song, the video is actually a rather emotional encounter of people from all walks of life who are looking for the same thing: change.

Mapei’s new track will be featured on her debut LP, Hey Hey, which is scheduled to be released on September 23rd. Watch the video for “Change” up top, and let us know what you think about the clip down below.
