Taylor Swift Appears (For A Split Second) In The Trailer For OneRepublic’s ‘Giver’ Song, “Ordinary Human”: Watch

OneRepublic are already well on their way to enjoying a major second half of 2014, thanks to the slow-burning success of their Native re-issue single, “Love Runs Out.” Up next for the Ryan Tedder-fronted troupe? “Ordinary Human,” a contribution to the soundtrack of The Giver, in which country-pop darling Taylor Swift is set to appear.

The moody, anthemic track is featured in a trailer for the film, which just premiered yesterday. “I’m just an ordinary human with ordinary ways/I’m just an ordinary human…I don’t feel so ordinary today,” Tedder coos across the atmospheric chorus, punctuated by dialogue from the movie — and a brief glimpse of Tay Tay in action.

We already caught a first look at the “Love Story” sweetheart in the black-and-white promo poster, but this is your chance to check out Taylor flaunting her acting chops — briefly, at least. (Zoom to the 1:12 mark below to catch her blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance.)
