The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards is beginning to fill up its roster of pop stars who’ll be splashed across the screen. There ceremony goes down on August 24 at The Forum in Los Angeles, and already-announced performers Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds Of Summer will be preceded by show opener Usher, according to Hot 97.

Ursh is no stranger to the VMAs stage, having most recently made a showing at the 2010 do by performing his hits “OMG” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love.” He recently released the single “Good Kisser” (which now has a snappy Disclosure remix to go with it) and the Pharrell-produced Nicki Minaj collab “She Came To Give It To You.”

The MTV VMAs head back to sunny Southern California this year after being staged at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in 2013.

Any thoughts as to what Usher might have up his sleeve for his VMAs performance?
