Earlier this month, Jessie Ware debuted her new single “Tough Love.” And today she revealed that the minimal ballad is actually the title track of sophomore LP, out later this year on Island/Cherrytree. Ware also shared the album artwork (above), which is as understated as the song itself.

For Tough Love Ware, has reunited with her Devotion collaborators Dave Okumu, Kid Harpoon and Julio Bashmore (“Peppermint”), while also teaming with artists who could help boost her profile: Ed Sheeran, Miguel (the two are also working on his third album together), Arctic Monkeys producer James Ford and Nineteen85, who co-produced Drake‘s “Hold On We’re Going Home.” As she tells Pitchfork though, she ultimately hopes that Tough Love will present her voice at its purest, more so than in Devotion.

“I’m so proud of Devotion and I have such a romantic memory of how it was made, but I didn’t really know what I was doing then,” she says. “I was scared. I doubled my vocal quite a lot; I almost didn’t want people to hear too much of my character. But my vocal is more laid-bare on this one. I’m definitely not belting the whole way through, but I branched out more—hopefully I’ll be able to sing the bloody album live.”
