Royksopp and Robyn‘s Do It Again EP hit the pop world this past spring to critical acclaim, and the Norwegian electronic duo and eternally cool Swedish singer have been trekking around together on tour in support of their joint release. Today brings the sprawling six-minute video for the EP’s title track, a song we recently included in our Best Of 2014 (So Far) roundup.

The video was directed by Martin De Thurah in Mexico, and it depicts rebels living out desperately urgent scenarios (seeking medicine after an injury, having sex, dancing wildly etc.) in a castle before a final act of authoritarian violence brings it all to an end.

De Thurah explains the following to Dazed:

“The video was filmed over three days in four Mexican states – Mexico City, Vera Cruz, Puebla and Hidalgo. The stories we worked on and the world we created was much more interesting and captivating than just to focus on (the artists’) performance. I worked with the idea of ‘what is our heart’s desire?’ – and I realised that no one in the world truly gets to live out their passions. We are all under some construct, whether you’re an atheist living in Denmark or a gay person in Russia.”
