Bea Miller Captures Teen Angst Perfectly In Her “Young Blood” Video: Watch

Bea Miller didn’t win X Factor in 2013 but the gravelly-voiced teen made enough of an impression to land a record deal with Hollywood Records. Not that she’s your average Disney diva. The 15-year-old worships The Pretty Reckless, recorded an EP full of relatively rebellious pop/rock anthems and is an outspoken LGBT advocate (she has two mums).

It makes sense then that the video for “Young Blood”, the lead single from her similarly-titled debut LP, would be a fairly gritty affair. Directed by Mark Pellington, the atmospheric video was filmed in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse and finds Bea (and a bunch of equally pained-looking teens) in an extremely emo mood. It’s a great fit for the catchy and surprisingly stirring anthem. Watch up top.
