Hey — LIGHTS is back!

The last time we heard from the Canadian electro-pop darling was with the release of her sophomore record, Siberia. (Well, and the acoustic version of the album, which was released and toured last year.) Since her second album dropped, she’s gotten married to Blessthefall‘s Beau Bokan and given birth to their daughter named Rocket (!) in February. Happy family!

And now, she’s ready to go for Round 3: Today, the singer-songwriter revealed the title of her upcoming studio album Little Machines, due out on September 23 — and already available to pre-order.

To give us a taste of what’s to come, the singer just dropped the lead track off of the upcoming set: “Up We Go,” a punchy, motivational synth-pop production that brings CHVRCHES and Tegan & Sara‘s Heartthrob to mind — and maybe even a bit of Katy Perry‘s “Roar.” “Everyone here is ready to go/It’s been a hard year and I only know/From down this love, it’s only up we go!” she encourages on the anthemic chorus. It’s a much more shimmering and lifted sound than the crunchy sound of Siberia.

What do you think of LIGHTS’ sunnier disposition? Listen to “Up We Go” after the jump, and let us know in the comments below.
