4. Kiesza — “Giant In My Heart” While “Hideaway” is just now beginning to climb the American charts, flame-haired Canadian songbird Kiesza is following up her #1 hit with the ’90s house throwback “Giant In My Heart” in Europe. (Both singles are available on the four-track Hideaway EP, by the way.) The video for the song is a total drag…and we mean that in the most fabulous way possible.

3. SecondCity featuring Ali Love — “What Can I Do” We’re going to give Rowan Harrington (better known as DJ/producer SecondCity) a pass here. Yes, he was technically born in Chicago, but his family emigrated to England when Rowan was a young kid. He recently topped the UK chart with his Toni Braxton-sampling “I Wanna Feel,” and his brand new single is this irresistible disco-house cut.

2. Sigma featuring Paloma Faith — “Changing” Paloma Faith is of English-Spanish heritage, and her voice is pure-soul dynamite. She paired up with British drum and bass duo Sigma for their latest cut, “Changing,” and wound up taking a glitter ball to church in the process.

1. Duke Dumont — “Wont’ Look Back” Whoever that is doing the powerhouse vocals on Duke Dumont’s “Won’t Look Back,” she deserves the Loleatta Holloway Diva Badge Of Approval. And by the way, young house fans, if you have not yet educated yourself with the music of Italo-house legends Black Box — particularly their classic “Ride On Time” (which Dumont’s song tips a hat to) — you’ve now got some homework to do.
