Jasmine V Reinvents Herself On Kendrick Lamar-Assisted Club Banger “That’s Me Right There”
Jasmine V is all grown up! The former teen queen, who came to fame as Justin Bieber‘s love interest in “Baby” before dropping surprisingly fierce singles like the still great “Werk”, has joined forces with Kendrick Lamar on sexy R&B club banger “That’s Me Right There”. It’s the first taste of her long-awaited debut EP (due on Interscope Records later this year).
“That’s Me Right There” is definitely a new direction for the 20-year-old. I enjoyed the dance-pop of recent — buzz? — singles like 2013’s underrated “Paint A Smile” but this knocks and the inclusion of Kendrick will expose the budding diva to a whole new audience. “That’s me right there, yeah that’s my man!” Jasmine schools the club over chunky beats.
