“A Place With No Name” Is The Next Single From Michael Jackson’s ‘Xscape’, Video Release Date Set

Sony has chosen “A Place With No Name” as the second single from Michael Jackson‘s well-received posthumous LP Xscape. The pop icon “continues to push the boundaries forward and once again makes HISTORY!” according to his Facebook page. How, you might be wondering? Well, it turns out the song’s video will be the first to premiere on Twitter (on August 13 at 10pm EST).

It’s an interesting choice. I think “Loving You” is a better fit for radio (and would appeal to the fans that fell in love with “Love Never Felt So Good”) but “A Place With No Name” has certainly grown on me since it first surfaced online. Let’s just hope the video is spectacular and worthy of MJ’s legacy. Listen to the America-sampling, Stargate-updated anthem after the jump.

Is “A Place With No Name” the best choice? Let us know in the comments below.
