Ariana Grande And Big Sean’s “Best Mistake”: Listen To The Sad ‘My Everything’ Song

There are just two weeks left ahead of the release of Ariana Grande‘s sophomore LP My Everything, and the Teen Choice Awards winner has offered up another song from the album as an appetizer. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a song on this thing that doesn’t have another featured vocalist. This latest track is no exception.

“Best Mistake,” which pairs Ariana up with rapper Big Sean, is a much more somber affair than recent upbeat singles  “Problem” and “Break Free.” Here Grande laments “the best mistake I ever made” over spare piano notes, while adding sadly, “But we hold on.” Big Sean builds on the melancholy by noting that “love can be a beach with no shore” before telling the object of his affection, “I wish that you could be happy.”

Hear the collaboration from this rumored new real-life couple below.

“Best Mistake” has already taken over iTunes as the top-selling single. Will you be picking up a copy of My Everything on August 25?
