George Ezra’s “Budapest” Is The Best iTunes Single Of The Week (ie. Free Download) In Ages

You never know what you’re going to get with the iTunes Single Of The Week — a diamond in the rough or a lump of coal. Happily, this week’s selection is definitely the former. George Ezra‘s melodic folk-pop anthem “Budapest” has been a phenomenon in Europe, reaching the top 10 in the UK, Germany and Italy (among other nations) and then proved just as popular in Australia and New Zealand.

What’s so intoxicating about the Brit’s breakthrough single? Well, it has a probably lot to do with George’s sleepy voice and timeless melodies. His sound is unique but if you need a comparison, the closest is probably Ed Sheeran circa + mixed with a little Vance Joy. Hell, Ryan Tedder called “Budapest” the song of the summer, so it has to be good! Listen after the jump.

If you like what you hear, you can download the song for free for the next seven days over at iTunes. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
