Snoop Dogg Previews Pharrell Collaboration: Watch

Gangsta rap superstar Snoop Dogg teased a new song featuring Pharrell during a recent vlog. To disco-era electric guitar licks, Pharrell sings blissful praises to a strain of medical marijuana, called moon rock – not to be mistaken for MDMA in its purest form, which is also referred to as “moon rock.” As Snoop belts along to Pharrell’s lyrics, he makes sure that much is clear as he motions to and rolls a blunt of his own weed.

Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg had Pharrell appear on his online talk show GGN. The first topic that Snoop Dogg brought up were Pharrell’s appearances on Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories, which could easily have inspired their recent, unreleased collaboration.

Then again, as Snoop alluded to on the intro (“This ain’t even a special guest right here. This is my brother”), these two have collaborated for more than a decade now. “Signs,” off Snoop’s 2004 album R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece, was produced by The Neptunes, featured Charlie Wilson and Justin Timberlake, and was just as much of a disco throwback as his latest song with Pharrell.
