Kiesza’s Debut Album, Reportedly Called ‘Sound Of A Woman’, Now Has An October Release Date

In a recent round of interviews, it’s been mentioned that “Hideaway” singer Kiesza‘s debut LP will be released on October 21. “We’ve set an Oct. 21 release date, so it’s nice to have that finished,” she told the San Francisco Bay Guardian in a piece published last week. USA Today confirms that bit of info in a profile on the Canadian songbird, while going a step further and stating that Kiesza’s album will be called Sound Of A Woman.

Separate from all that, yet another interview — one with Carson Daly — gives a hint as to what we can expect Sound Of  Woman to, um, sound like.

“There’s, like, I’d say four-five dance songs, so there’s a lot of this [‘Hideaway’] vibe, but then there’s a lot of, like, other stuff too,” Kiesza mentioned to Daly. “So, there’s about 12 songs on the album.”

If you need any more whetting of the appetite for Kiesza’s forthcoming debut LP, here’s a quote from her (from the SF Bay Guardian write-up) regarding the ’90s vibe of her first two singles:

I’m into that era right now. It was a great time for music, some of the best ballads were written around that time, some of the best dance music. It was all about the divas! And soul, R&B. Then there was David Foster, I think he wrote the most epic 90s ballads and he just called me up the other day! I went to his house for dinner and he was just the coolest person ever. We talked about writing together and I think it’s going to happen.

So, can it be October 21, like, tomorrow?
