Future Hit: Kim Cesarion’s “Undressed” Is Criminally Catchy

Europe has been well represented on the Billboard Hot 100 this year with surprise hits from Nico & Vinz (Holland), Milky Chance (Germany) and Tove Lo (Sweden). Don’t be surprised if Kim Cesarion (another Swede) adds his name to that list with criminally catchy debut single “Undressed”, which sounds like Prince dropped in 1987 — albeit with a modern twist.

Produced by Arnthor Birgisson and Gary Clark, the hook-laden hit blew up in Scandinavia before reaching the top 10 in Australia earlier this year. “Undressed” is now being rolled out stateside and just debuted in the top 40 of Billboard’s Pop Songs airplay chart. It’s also gaining traction on iTunes and is a sync or TV performance away from being huge. Watch the simple but stylish video up top.
