U2 Just Released Their New LP ‘Songs Of Innocence’ On iTunes — For Free!

It was only a matter of time before another huge act did a Beyonce by unexpectedly dropping an album with no forewarning. And U2 did just that today (September 9) with the surprise release of their 13th studio LP Songs Of Innocence. Only they upped the ante even further by giving it away for free on iTunes. It will reach other retailers on October 13.

Songs Of Innocence is the Irish band’s first album since 2009’s No Line On The Horizon. The legendary rockers worked with noted hitmaker Ryan Tedder on four tracks including the lead single “The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)”. Other collaborators include Adele‘s producer Paul Epworth and Danger Mouse. See the full tracklist and download link after the jump.
