LIGHTS’ ‘Little Machines’: Listen To The Album

In just one week, Canadian synth-pop singer-songwriter LIGHTS will offer up new album Little Machines (on September 23). Ahead of that, the studio release, her third, is streaming in full courtesy of the New York Times. Quiet opening track “Portal” kicks the off on a mellow note, and the ride carries on through an impressive array of dance, electro and straight-up pop tunes. Don’t miss standouts “Same Sea,” “Speeding” and “How We Do It.”

Dare we say it, LIGHTS might have really outdone herself here — words we don’t toss around lightly, considering her 2009 debut The Listening is one of the finest albums to come out of the previous decade.

Listen to Little Machines a week ahead of its official release date here.
