Must Hear: Made In Heights’ New Single “Ghosts” Is Synth-Pop Perfection

If you missed Made In Heights the first time around (they released an album in 2012), there’s still time to get on board before they explode with their sophomore set. And the LA-based duo will do just that if gorgeous new single “Ghosts” is any indication of what they have up their collective sleeve. Make no mistake. This is one of the prettiest pieces of electronica to surface thus far in 2014.

“When all the ghosts are singing, taking my tears and filling their cups up,” sing-whispers vocalist Kelsey Bulkin over Sabzi‘s cascading synths in the song’s ever-so-subtle chorus. That gives you some idea of the song’s quirky lyrical content but probably doesn’t do justice to the whimsical production. Think of this as the complicated, stoner cousin of Clean Bandit‘s “Rather Be”. Listen after the jump.
