Kiesza trades in her well-loved deep house synths for a gritty bass with her latest tune, “Bad Thing.” After songs like “Hideaway” and “No Enemiez,” the Canadian singer-songwriter slows things down a bit and lets her vocals shine on top of the track’s weighty drum rhythms. What gives the song an extra boost of swagger is the feature from underground rapper Joey Bada$$. The 19-year-old Brooklynite compliments the song perfectly, thanks to his chilled, laid-back flow.

“Bad Thing” is shaping up to be one of the standout tracks from the singer’s debut album Sound Of A Woman, set for an October 21 release. Check it out below and if you like what you hear, pre-order Kiesza’s album on iTunes now and you can download the song for free.
