Pink And Dallas Green (You + Me) Take A Lo-Fi Approach To Their Pastoral “Break The Cycle” Video: Watch

You + Me (Pink‘s side project with Dallas Green AKA City And Colour — it’s a little confusing) debuted heartstring-tugging folk ballad “Break The Cycle” yesterday (September 22) and immediately won us over with its powerful message and understated production. The second taste of the duo’s rose ave. LP — “You And Me” arrived a couple of weeks ago — confirms that Pink is just as adept at folk as she is at rowdy pop/rock.

So what can you expect from the video? Well, it looks like an unfinished lyric video but I think that’s the whole point. Everything about this project is raw and organic, so it’s only fitting that the visual is comprised of random, sepia-toned pastoral scenes that look like they were filmed on someone’s iPhone. The focus of the lo-fi clip is squarely on the music, as it should be. Watch up top.
