Gwen Stefani’s Comeback Single “Baby Don’t Lie”: Production Details And Video Director

It still doesn’t feel real that Gwen Stefani and Fergie are both releasing new solo singles in the next couple of weeks. We’ve already heard a snippet of the BEP babe’s “L.A. Love (La La)” but details of the No Doubt frontwoman’s comeback track have been largely kept under wraps. In fact, all we knew was the title and expected radio release date (October 6).

More information about the project is finally starting to emerge. For example, “Baby Don’t Lie” was reportedly co-written by omnipresent hitmaker Ryan Tedder and produced by the ever-reliable/awesome Benny Blanco. To emphasize the fact that Gwen and Interscope aren’t playing with this release, Sophie Muller has been tapped to direct the video. She has a long association with the 44-year-old. They first worked together on No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” visual way back in 1997. Revisit some of their best work after the jump.
