In 2007, Tori Kelly started uploading covers like India Arie‘s “Wonderful” and Beyonce‘s “Halo” to YouTube, as performed during school recitals. Now she’s a Capitol Records signee prepping her debut album, which may or may not feature Ed Sheeran. “Ed Sheeran was amazing to work with,” Kelly said to MTV. “We wrote a duet together, so hopefully people get to hear that soon as well.”

I’m hoping that it ends up on my album,” Kelly added. “We’ve been kind of waiting for the right place for that song because it feels so special.”

Kelly appears on British rapper Professor Green‘s current single “Lullaby.” Earlier this year, the Scooter Braun-managed singer-songwriter lent vocals to Pharrell‘s latest album G I R L. She also contributed a song, “Silent,” to The Giver soundtrack also featuring OneRepublic, Capital Cities and Rixton. She hopes to release her debut album next spring.
