Charli XCX Previews Songs From New Album ‘Sucker’: Watch

Charli XCX recently pushed back the release of her sophomore album Sucker, from October 21 to December 16, though for a good reason: “Boom Clap,” her winning contribution to The Fault in Our Stars soundtrack, became her biggest solo hit to date. (To be fair, the song does live up to its title.) “’Boom Clap’ is still getting so much love all over the world, which is crazy, and it just makes sense, so I have proper time to focus on the album launch,” the True Romance star said.

Still, Charli XCX’s change of plans haven’t stop her from letting fans know what to expect. During her recent show at Orlando, Fla., fans recorded footage of her performing two new songs off Sucker. (She did six new songs total, according to Stereogum.) One, Sucker‘s title track, is sassy pop-punk with a delicious hook (“Fuck you, sucker!”). Another, “Famous,” had the crowd chiming in during the wailing, sing-song hook by the third go.
