Charli XCX Goes Punk On “London Queen”: Listen To The ‘Sucker’ Single

Charli XCX follows up the bad-ass single “Break The Rules” with the latest – and fittingly titled – “London Queen.” The song, off the chanteuse’s forthcoming sophomore LP Sucker, finds her channeling her inner punk rocker. The punchy chorus (I never thought I’d be living in the USA, doing things the American way/ Never thought I’d be living in the USA, living the dream like a London queen”) gives off a subtle Ramones vibe, as the singer emphasizes her staccato Cambridge accent.

Combine that with handclaps, dreamy harmonies and fiery electric guitar riffs, and it seems like Charli XCX has yet another hit on her hands. Look out for Sucker on December 16, and listen to “London Queen” below.
