Salt Ashes Continues To Impress With ’80s-Influenced Synth-Pop Gem “If You Let Me Go”: Watch The Creepy Video

If you follow English pop blogs (it’s a thing, trust me), chances are you’re already across Salt Ashes. The 22-year-old impressed all the right people with debut single “Somebody” — a sultry, strings-drenched nu-disco excursion — but ups the ante even further with early Madonna-channeling, Giorgio Moroder-inspired synth-anthem “If You Let Me Go”.

Veiga Sanchez (her real name) dropped the video earlier this week and it’s a suitably arty and adventurous spectacle. The British newcomer rocks demon eyes and the scariest hair this side of The Ring in the horror movie-themed clip. It reminds me of Lady Gaga‘s visual approach to The Fame Monster in that it’s creepy and weird but still strangely accessible. Get to know Salt Ashes up top.
