Katy Perry Will Perform At The Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show

Katy Perry is set to perform at the 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show, according to reports from Billboard. Since August, the “This Is How We Do” singer (alongside Coldplay and BFF Rihanna) was rumored to headline the big show. This all comes after her recent appearance on ESPN’s College Game Day on October 5, where she stated “I’m not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl.” Maybe she was just playing coy?

Perry’s Halftime show will succeed Bruno MarsBeyonce‘s epic showcase last year and Madonna‘s controversial set from 2012 (thanks to M.I.A.‘s middle finger to the FCC). The news is just another addition to Perry’s already successful year – she is leading the 2014 MTV EMAs with the most nominations, her “Dark Horse” video was the most watched of 2014 and she started her own record label.
