Actor and director Danny DeVito has impressive range. He has starred in dramas, comedies, family flicks and sitcoms. And now, he’s scored some major bragging rights with his latest role – the star of One Direction‘s forthcoming music video.

That’s right – as the U.K. boy band just revealed, DeVito will be featured in the “Steal My Girl” video, out October 13. Photos from the shoot show all of them at a desert, playing with a monkey in between takes and hanging out with DeVito’s #Trollfoot – the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star‘s social media alter ego, art project and, well, foot. (“I didn’t know what to do on Twitter, like my first tweet was ‘My b — s are on fire’ . . . I didn’t want to keep going in that way,” he has said. “I decided that Troll Foot was good.”) Oh, and despite the song’s subject matter, there isn’t a girl in sight.
