It’s shaping up to be a good year for music legends. Barbra Streisand landed her record 10th chart-topping LP with Partners (not to mention the year’s highest first-week sales tally for a female artist), while Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga took Cheek To Cheek all the way to number one album. The latest pop veteran to try their luck on the Billboard 200 is Bette Midler.

The Divine Miss M drops It’s The Girls on November 4. A tribute to the girl groups of yesterday, the diva’s first studio LP in eight years is a collection of songs made famous by female acts like The Shirelles and TLC. (Yes, she covers “Waterfalls”!) The first track to arrive online is a faithful rendition of The Ronettes‘ ’60s classic “Be My Baby”. It’s sweeter than cheesecake and will, no doubt, put a smile on your face. Take a listen after the jump.
