When Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne released their single, “Real Love,” we were secretly hoping it would be a cover of Mary J. Blige‘s 1992 R&B classic. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. But have no fear, our wishes have been granted!

Glynne stopped by BBC Radio 1Xtra yesterday (October 14) to perform her own version of Blige’s single. The cover is completely stripped from its upbeat roots, as the “Rather Be” singer was solely backed by a piano and two backup singers. She uses the bare setting to her advantage, which highlights her impassioned vocals. Glynne plans to break out into the U.S. market with seen with the single, “Home.”
