Melanie Martinez’s Trippy, Carnival-Themed “Carousel” Video Is A Wild Ride: Watch

Melanie Martinez‘s dreamy/nightmarish pop anthem “Carousel” found a whole new audience when it was chosen to soundtrack previews of American Horror Story: Freak Show. The spellbinding ditty, which can be found on the 19-year-old’s excellent debut EP Dollhouse, has slowly been gaining ground on iTunes and now gets a suitably spooky video.

The striking visual finds our bow-wearing heroine enjoying the rides at a carnival. Melanie, who first came to fame on season three of The Voice, then meets a hottie and things get kind of weird. She starts floating like a balloon and ends up bound at the wrists on a carousel. The newcomer also blows neon-colored chunks. (The exact same thing happened to me at Six Flags). Watch up top.
